Its officially September 1st and you know what that means, its time to pull out the jeans, boot, scarves, cute over coats, hats, and pumpkin spice themed everything. Well maybe not that last part or well maybe none of that for me because its still 112F outside and doing that would kill me but everyone else better do it for me until I can. I was thinking about what goals I should create this month for myself. Well, I’m not much of a creating goals kind of person but hey I think that this might help me plan out what I want to do and achieve this month. I know the list is kind of short but I feel that its just the perfect size for myself.

Ah the month of August, a time for summer and the last month of many before school starts. School, one of the most stressful times of the year for young and old alike. Well since I’m going to be starting college here soon I figured I should share a few helpful tips on what you can do to prepare for the up comping semester. This will also help me get prepared for school too.

About a month or so ago I set up a poll asking everyone what kind of sims related post that you would like to see and the winning vote was a Sims vs. Sims! This is all my own opinion on what I think about each game, what I liked and didn’t like. Sorry for taking so long on this post, but there was so much I had to choose from in each game, that it made it super difficult to write this post. So, let's get to it!

As time comes and goes, new games manage to sneaking into my feed and Banished hit me by storm and it became addicting fun for hours, when I first played it. I was introduced to the game by a YouTuber and I am obsessed with simulation games, so I decided to get a hold of a copy and play it for myself. This game is a village simulation game where you have to build the village from the ground up as your villagers begin to create a new life for themselves.
In the game, you can choose between 3 different modes, easy, medium, and hard. Easy will have the most advantages, so I would definitely recommend you start off with that level and watch the tutorials on the main menu. There are so many things to learn in this game and I was so lost before I watched the tutorials on what to do. Once you do the tutorial, then you can move on to the game and start building your town. You can place homes, farms, build buildings that can help you improve your town and make sure it can stay afloat and maybe grow into a great empire.

There are so many programs out there to try and learn new languages. Theres big expensive programs that you can buy like Rosetta Stone, you can take courses in High School or college, sometimes take really big courses aren’t all ways the best way to learn things. From the courses I’ve see they are all expensive and cost a lot and while in high school you can take courses for a few selected languages its still difficult when everything is being throw to you at once and not having it being tough to you slowly. Jumping into a pool of water does not make you learn how to swim faster, it makes you sink quicker.
Today I want to review an app that is free for all, Duolingo. This is an app and website that allows you to lean and teach yourself new languages on your schedule. When you open the app you can choose how long you want to study for a day. It can range from 5 minutes to 30 minutes a day based on how much time you want to study for, I have mine set to 20 minutes a day because I really want to learn a new language. Right now I am taking Dutch and Spanish. I am a beginner so I don't know really much of anything and I can't remember anything from my Spanish class in high school. So my challenge is to try and teach myself in a slower paced manor in a less pressure way.
