Scarlet Heart Ryeo K-Drama

I'm back with another K-Drama review and this time it's for the historical drama, Scarlet Heart Ryeo.  This drama is about a 21st century girl who gets caught in a solar eclipse and sent back into time to the Goryeo Dynasty.  I will try not to give anything away about the show for those who have not seen it for themselves but be warned there may be spoilers or hints about what happens in the show.

Now if this sounds in any way familiar to you then you might be thinking about the Scarlet Heart C-Drama, the original version of the TV series.  Now I'm not sure about you but I love remakes on some shows as long as they stay in line with the original story plot theme.  There were many parts that were related to the original story line such as the love triangle between Hae Soo (Lee Ji-eun/UI) and 4th Prince Wang So (Lee Joon-gi), and 8th Prince Wook (Kang Ha-neul); and the power hungry princes who wanted to make everyone, especially Hae Soo, happy.

Throughout the entire show, every twist and turn had me on the edge of my seat and it was amazing!  You could really feel the actor’s emotion from what they were feeling and thinking.  Also when I say emotional I mean get that box of tissues and prepare your self for the first big sad part in the show.  When it comes you are going to need that box of tissues and maybe more.  I cried like a little baby not once, not twice, but multiple times.  I think I cried a good 10 times watching all 20 episodes of this show and every time I cried I felt so bad for the characters.  Ignoring the sad part of the story I found the story very well written but I did have a few little pet peeves about this show.

One, the King in the C-Drama was nice to the Ruo Xi and treated her like his daughter while in this version he was down right cruel!  It wasn't until many years later he was nicer to Hae Soo and he was on the verge of death.  I would have preferred the King to be nicer even if he did not trust Hae Soo.

Two, this show felt like death after death making Hae Soo's miserable and sad, it broke my heart.  I also don't like crying and this show did exactly that.  I had to turn the show off because I couldn't read though the tears.  The sad part of this was I knew what was going to happen before I even watched it since I watched the original show a few months prior.  They could have at least kept the other characters alive and let them live in peaceful bliss outside of the palace.
Other than those few little things, I love this show to death.  UI did a great job play Hae Soo along with the other actors and I'm sad that the show is now over. I’m going to give the show a overall rating of a 9/10.  1 point subtracted because of the 2 flaws I found above.  I also loved all the scenery and where they shot the show, if I ever go to South Korea I would love to visit those sets!

Now I have heard there might be a season 2 or special episode in the works because all of us fan out side of S.K. wanting to see a happy ending for Hae Soo and 4th Prince in the 21st century.  I don't care how long the second season is, I just want to see the heart broken Hae Soo be happy.

There is also one thing I hope they do not repeat in the second season, and that's the twin thing they did in the second season of the C-Drama.  That just messed with me and made everything more confusing.  It would be better if you cut out the middle man or should I say twin and just make it that maybe 4th prince remember Hae Soo and Hae Soo forgets or vise versa?   However they decide to take the storyline one thing is for sure is that the twin story in the second season of the C-Drama was bad and unnecessary.

Thank you for reading this everyone I hope that you all go and watch this great show.  You can find the show on DramaFever, however, they just made it for premium users, meaning you would have to pay a subscription fee to get the other 19 episodes, the first one is free.  If you've seen Scarlet Heart Ryeo tell me what you though about it and if you want to see a second season for this show so Hae Soo can have a happy ending with her 4th Prince Wang So.

Happy New Year and Happy New Blog!!

Happy New Year Everyone!  Sorry for delaying this post and not getting this post out sooner.  I just need some time to think before I wrote this.  This past year was certainly a struggle for me when it came to blogging and my content.  I felt that my blog content wasn’t at its best and I was writing more for views than anything and it was just draining for me.

This also caused me to not post for long periods of time and only once a month or longer if I had anything.  Well I’m going to revert back to my main roots and review more games just like when I first started, and put the beauty and DIY reviews on hold.  I had fun doing these but I felt they were more forced when writing.

So for next weeks post I will be posting a review for a KDrama!! I can here the silence and confusion since it contradicts what I said above about focusing on games.  Well your right it does but I love writing Drama reviews a much as I like writing the game reviews.  So I’m focusing on both.  So hopefully I can get a more of a normal schedule.

Thank you all for reading.  The next post will be up on the 13th of January and hopefully every Friday.

Until next time,

Officially Fall

Its officially Fall and that means 89 days until it will officially get to being in the 60’s.  I’m really looking forward to Fall as you can tell and I’m going to dedicate this post to 10 things I’m looking forward to this fall.

1.  Cooler Weather
I am sick of this summer heat.  It’s not the normal 100 F that most places get like in California for example.  No, this is Arizona heat that gets to 120 F and it is the worst. Cooler weather can't come soon enough.

2.  Having Warm Drinks
I cannot drink anything warm in the summer.  It literally makes me sick because its just to warm outside.  No matter how much I want that cup of coffee in the afternoon I will resist because of the heat.  Now that it's going to get cooler I can now have the nice warm cup of coffee.

3.  Baking Crazy
I love to bake and the holidays give me that reason to bake to my hearts content.  It can be for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas and I will try to find some reason to bake.

4.  RAIN!!
I love the rain more that you can believe, though my head doesn’t take to kind to it.  After having a dry spell with no rain it's definitely worth the wait when you can just curl up on the couch with a good book and read listening to the rain.

5.  Holidays are coming!
I love decorating for the holidays!  It just makes my home feel so pretty with all the lights and what not.  This is also a repeat of what I said for number three on the list but baking and cooking the foods you love, it makes everything have a homey feel to them.

6.  Starting that new indoor hobby.
I’m already getting started on knitting my first every blanket to curl up with when the fall/winter hits.  It’s my first ever-knitting project and it gives me something does when I wait for my sweet treats to finish cooking.

7.  Pants
I just really want to wear pants.  I find they go with every outfit you can ever wear.

8.  Traveling while its cooler out!
I have really want to go and travel but its to hot to do anything.  At least when the fall comes then I can actually leave my house without feeling like I’m going to die from the heat.

9.  Photography
I would love to travel and take pictures of what fall is doing here in AZ, but it will all depend on what’s going on and time.  Lets pray things go as plan and I can do some of these things.

10.  Fire Pits
I love using my fire pit as often as I possibly can.  It’s so nice to just sit out side and look up at the sky and see all of the stars, so relaxing.

Thank you for reading.  So what’s your favorite thing about fall/autumn?  Tell me in the comments down below, I would love to hear what you favorite things about fall are.

Until next time,

Neutrogena Shine Control Classic Ivory No. 10

If any one has seen my Twitter page then you know that I was looking for a new liquid foundation since my other one was not sold anymore, sadly.  Well after looking and trying almost 20 different foundations I finally found the one!  I might be exaggerating a bit on it but after trying as many as I have then you know how I feel about it.
